Brothers Living under COVID-19
Bruce Wedlock ‘56 and Bill Denhard ‘42
Life at Brooksby Village
Bill Denhard ‘42, my wife Marjorie and I live in Brooksby Village, a large Erickson Retirement Community in Peabody, MA. There are 1800 residents with a median age of 84, so the Covid19 attack has been a major issue. We have experienced progressive lockdowns so that currently we are now asked to remain in our apartments. Meals, mail and other essentials are delivered to us. No non-Brooksby persons are allowed past the entrance gate. When we return from grocery shopping (not encouraged) we get our temperature taken.
Marjorie and I do go out and walk in good weather. The woodshop is closed, so I am working on teaching CAD to my Guild of New Hampshire Woodworkers colleagues. Marjorie works on her knitting and counted cross stitch projects, and we watch some TV. Bill, who turns 100 this year, has a garden plot, and it’s the best garden of the group with all his beautiful bulbs.
