Harry S. Kradjian ’52

Harry Sarkis Kradjian went to be with his Lord and Savior, Friday, January 27 at 3:00 p.m.

Harry graduated from Binghamton High School in 1948 and earned a bachelor’s degree from M.I.T. and an MBA from Harvard Business School. He served with diligence and distinction for many years on the Broome Community College Board of Trustees. He was a partner in many Kradjian entities, including Bates Troy Laundry and Linen and Kradjian Properties. He was an integral part of a family business that remains today. His many business accomplishments include the Metrocenter, Holiday Inn Hotels, Vestal Steakhouse, and numerous office and retail properties throughout the Triple Cities. Harry was a member of the NYS Job Development Authority and was responsible for establishing the MacKenzie Childs’ dishware manufacturing facility in central New York. He also supported the Lourdes Foundation and was an active member of the St. Gregory’s Armenian Church. He was well respected by all who worked with and for him.

He was predeceased by his parents Osanna and Arthur Kradjian. He is survived by his loving wife of 53 years, Jacqueline Kradjian, his children, Stephen (Gillian) Kradjlan, Christine Kradjian, and J. Randall (Melody) Harrison, his brother Diran (Socie) Kradjian, and sister Rita Walden. He was very proud of his four grandchildren, Randy, Stephen, Caroline, Preston, and Caitlin. Family was important to Harry, and he was extremely close to his cousin Ara (Naima) Kradjian and many nieces and nephews, especially Brian, Eric, Christopher, and Nicole Kradjian.
