Don was born on July 30,1933, in Jersey City, New Jersey. He graduated from Montclair High School in 1951 and received a BS in mechanical engineering from MIT in 1955. He was a member of Pi Tau Sigma, an international mechanical engineering society. Don's 41-year career in engineering included time spent at GTE/Sylvania, Sybron, Nalge, and Transcat. He retired in 1996 after 20 years of service with Transcat. Don was a member of the First Presbyterian Church of Pittsford, having served as trustee and deacon. He was an Eagle Scout and also served as a Boy Scout leader. Don treasured the many summers he spent with his family and friends at his cottage on Cayuga Lake. He was an avid fisherman, boater, gardener, helping hand, and friend to many.
