Richard D. Lemmerman ’50

LEMMERMAN – Richard D. Lemmerman was born on January 28, 1928 in Brooklyn, New York. He passed away on December 24, 2010 in Florida. He will be lovingly remembered by his wife, Sara; five children, Patricia (Jim Wolford) Lemmerman, Sandra (Allen Irish) Lemmerman, Karen (Rod) Mueller, Deborah Lemmerman, Douglas Lemmerman and three stepchildren, Cynthia (Barry) Warfield, John (Julie) Crooks, and Brett (Deb) Higby. He was blessed with twelve grandchildren and eight great grandchildren, which he enjoyed immensely. Dick was a graduate of Massachusetts Institute of Technology where he received a B.S. in Chemical Engineering and an M.S. in Nuclear Physics. He was a member of the Tao Beta Phi Honorary Engineering Society and Sigma XI Honorary Research Society. He received his M.B.A. at Princeton University in Corporate Finance and Law. His life was filled with many wonderful years of sailing and fly-fishing when he wasn’t pursuing his passion of working and making the world a better place to live. He and his wife Sara retired on Fremont Lake. Memorial Services will be held for the family at the Fremont Christian Church.
