Sarkis A. Koltookian ’77

CEDAR FALLS – Sarkis Aram Koltookian, 54, of Cedar Falls, died Saturday, June 12, in Cedar Falls, from injuries suffered in an automobile accident.

He was born Oct. 19, 1955, in Concord, N.H., son of John and Dorothy Gulbankian Koltookian. He married Ruth Ruff on Nov. 17, 1984, at St. Patrick Catholic Church, Cedar Falls.

Mr. Koltookian graduated from MIT in 1977 and was a mechanical engineer with John Deere, Waterloo.

Survived by: his wife: two sons, Aram and Christopher, both of Cedar Falls; a daughter, Stephanie Koltookian of Cedar Falls; his mother of Concord; a brother, Levon (Deb) of Concord; and a sister, Sona Koltookian of Scottsdale, Ariz.

Preceded in death by: his father.

Services: 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at St. Patrick Catholic Church, with burial in Greenwood Cemetery. Public visitation from 4 to 7 p.m. today at Dahl-Van Hove-Schoof Funeral Home, with a 7 p.rn. vigil service.

Sarkis achieved many of his goals and lived a very fulfilling life. He volunteered for numerous organizations, donated 153 pints of blood to the American Red Cross, donated platelets, was actively involved with the Boy Scouts as a Scout leader, was a member and past president of ASME and had a passion for driving and restoring classic cars. He was always eager to help anyone for any reason. Sarkis put family first. Sarkis demonstrated daily how dearly he loved his family and friends.
